Panaji: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced the tentative schedule for the 2025 Class X and XII public examinations. The upcoming Class XII exam is expected to take place from February 1 to 15, 2025, while the Class X exam is scheduled for March 1 to 20 of the same year. The board has moved up the exam schedule by approximately 28 days for 2025 in response to concerns about rising temperatures caused by global warming. This decision was made earlier this year, with the aim of avoiding discomfort for students during the exams. The Chairperson of the Goa board, Bhagirath Shetye, explained that some students had experienced discomfort due to heat during the 2024 exams, leading to the decision to reschedule the exams starting in 2025. Going forward, all student exams will be completed before March 31, and the results will be announced by the end of April. The adjusted schedule aligns with national timelines and is consistent with the schedules of other central and state boards across the country.
